BikeTrip 1.2.3

Device: iOS iPhone
Category: Travel
Price: $2.99, Version: 1.2.2 -> 1.2.3 (iTunes)

Description:

The special app with missing information for motorbikers: real time display of current lean angle, bends counter, altimeter, direction of travel, distance travelled, total ascent, recording of track and waypoints with display on map.BikeTrip is not for free but provides a runtime of 10 hours with the full range of features free of charge.If your expectations are met, there is an upgrade to the unlimited version by in-app purchase (US-$ 2.99).More features of BikeTrip:Trips can be recorded automatically and tracked on a map later. At any point of the trip the local leaning angle and speed can be displayed subsequently. Trip sections can be marked to show length and average speed.Single waypoints can be saved without touch during travel using the proximity sensor (simply cover the device with your hand).The data of turns gone through is recorded (max. lean angle, speed etc.) and can also be shown on a map.Track, waypoints and bends data can be exported to Dropbox or by email in GPX exchange format for display in any map software. The GPX format can be converted easily into any other GPS format. All data are computed from GPS output, there is no (faulty) use of an inclination sensor or the in-built compass.After the end of the trial period the real time display of data remains functional. The data stored before can still be displayed / exported. However, new trip data cannot be recorded and stored any longer.BikeTrip is an app developed by a motorbiker for motorbikers. There are no data asked for or read from your iPhone by the software and there is no compulsory membership in any community. That is why the unlimited version of BikeTrip is not for free. An Apple iPhone / iPod with a sufficiently accurate GPS receiver is required. iPhone 4, 4S and iPod Touch 4th generation with iOS 4.0 or higher are well suitable for this. The suitability of iPhone 3 / 3 GS is somewhat limited because of its less accurate GPS chip (slower display of lean angle, inaccurate distance of travel). WARNING: The GPS chip consumes a lot of power when constantly in use, which may lead to an undesirably rapid discharge of battery. An external power supply is therefore recommended.

What's New

The current position can be shown and the coordinates sent by SMS.Any position of trip course can subsequently be stored as a waypoint.The trip course can thus be described by any number of waypoints (e.g. use for route planning after export of wapoints).Waypoints can be deleted now.Some minor bugs removed.
